Role Overview:
As a Senior Database Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the continuity and reliability of our data infrastructures, securing systems through patching, upgrading, and migrating databases to supported versions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and evolve database IT solutions for technical infrastructures and transversal tools, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, performance, and sustainability standards.
Maintain continuity and reliability of data infrastructures for all customer information systems, securing systems through patching, upgrading, and migrating databases to supported versions.
Analyze and forecast necessary resource developments to meet business requirements and ensure optimal performance of data infrastructures.
Contribute to business projects and assist users in the use of available solutions, providing expertise in database administration and automation.
Develop skills in patching and migration topics, ensuring the successful execution of patching and migration tasks independently.
Support employees in their professional development, providing guidance, training, and assistance in career progression.
Anticipate, define, and implement changes in the organization of activity within the company, promoting employee involvement, communication, and training.
Participate in building the future organization of Patch Management and Migration Factory teams, promoting exchanges within the entity and the company.
Set up automated dashboarding to monitor activity and share progress, ensuring transparency and accountability in data infrastructure operations.
What you'll need to succeed:
Strong understanding of remediation strategy and process to drive SI improvement initiatives effectively.
Experience administering Oracle databases, with knowledge and experience in administering other databases such as MS SQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
Proficiency in shell scripts and commands on Linux, with knowledge of IS security policy and enterprise networks.
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, along with DevOps tools like Git Bitbucket, Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, and XLDeploy to manage CI/CD environments.
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Zabbix and Splunk to monitor technological developments and ensure system performance.
Ability to propose and implement solutions adapted to complex problems, ensuring quality and contributing to the monitoring and control of investments, maintenance, and budget.
Fluent English and Portuguese mandatory, with good communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Autonomous, with the ability to work independently and within a team environment, while maintaining a client-focused approach.
