Role Overview:

As a Murex Developer, you will develop, configure, and maintain the Murex environment to bolster our trading, risk management, and settlement operations. You'll collaborate closely with business analysts to translate business needs into technical solutions and ensure the seamless functioning of our Murex system. 

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and sustain Murex-related components and workflows to meet evolving business requirements.

Configure Murex for front-to-back office activities, encompassing trade capture, rules implementation, confirmations, settlements, accounting, and reporting.

Partner with business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions.

Conduct version upgrades and patches for Murex, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous business operations.

Provide expertise and support for the Murex environment, including troubleshooting and resolving issues to maintain system integrity.

Develop and upkeep documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure transparency.

Guide and mentor junior developers, contributing to the team's knowledge base and fostering skill development within the team.


What you'll need to succeed:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Murex development.

Proficiency in Murex 3.1 modules, including Datamart, MXML, and MLC.

Strong experience with Murex integration, including MxML Exchange workflows and API development.

Knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and front-to-back trade lifecycle.

Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.

Experience with Unix/Linux environments and scripting languages.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Fluency in English; proficiency in French is advantageous but not mandatory.

Leadership and project management capabilities.

A proactive approach to addressing challenges and enhancing processes.
